The Curse is Broken

“It is finished.” He declared and the earth trembled, the sky cracked open followed by a thunderous roar of victory. The manipulative controls the enemy thought he had over God’s children was now broken!  This time forever! Strongholds of inadequacy, shame, guilt, condemnation, brokenness, hurt, abuse, oppression, rejection, fear and anxiety had no choice but to submit to the authority of our savior Jesus Christ. As His blood trickled downward on the wooden cross our testimonies of healing began. His luminous light and power so strong it unlocked the captives in the pit and propelled them to go and witness about His saving grace. “and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.” Matthew 27:52-53 NKJV.

Though this happened over 2,000 years ago I want to remind you that the blood of Jesus is still healing today. It is still healing us from word curses that were spoken over us, to derail us from our purpose, from trauma that we have experienced and from heartbreak. We just must believe it!

We must make a commitment to ourselves that despite what it looks like, what the devil said and even what others may say we are God’s anointed, called and chosen vessels and we are unconditionally loved.

To uphold this commitment we must be diligent when it comes to reading the word of God. His words equip, encourage and empower us to pick up our mats and move forward in hope. We must stay in His presence because there He reaffirms who we are in Him and refuels us to dismantle the plans of the enemy. Lastly, we need to surround ourselves with those who will support the call on our lives.

May you remember that God’s word reigns supreme and His word will not turn back void. So trust that “By His stripes we are healed.” and refuse to give in to Satan’s mind-controlling games and schemes.

Finally, in the words of my mentor Tiffany Buckner, “ Accept the finished work of Jesus.”

Be Encouraged,

Love Monica.
